Brenda Clark Thomas is the author of fantasy, post-apocalyptic, and suspense/thrillers. She also writes short stories, primarily speculative fiction with a literary bent. In 2023 her thriller, EMP, became one of ten finalists in the Claymore Awards at the prestigious Killer Nashville conference. Her horror short story, Fire Man, won third place in Crystal Lake Publishing 2022 flash fiction contest. In 2020 she was fiction runner-up for Poets & Writers Maureen Egen Writers Exchange Award. She's currently seeking representation for a suspense featuring the NSA. 

Her publishing credits include feature articles in The American Kennel Gazette and Dog World magazines.

She holds a BA in English and an MS in psychology. She once worked as a top-secret contract programmer/systems analyst for the Army.

A native Californian, she lives near Tulsa with her New Yorker husband and a Shih Tzu who thinks she's queen. (She is).
